Help children build a habit that protects their health.
Washing with soap helps protect children from illness. But a place to wash is only part of the solution. Children also need a reason to use it every day.
Give $15 to help provide a mirror at a school handwashing station. This simple addition helps draw children to the sink, where healthy habits begin.
More children washed with soap. The change lasted.
In Splash-supported schools in Kolkata, handwashing with soap before lunch rose from 25% to 90%, with the improvement sustained beyond 18 months.
Child-friendly stations, hygiene education, and school routines worked together to help children build the habit.

Help bring lasting school hygiene to more children.
Through Project WISE (WASH in Schools for Everyone) Phase II, Splash is working with government and local partners toward reaching 789,000 school children across 436 schools in Chipata, Kitwe, Lusaka, and Ndola, Zambia.
The work brings together school facilities, hygiene education, and support for the people who keep those systems working. Donor support helps make that work possible.
